Policy Work
Below are a few organizations I've worked with which specifically focused on impacting policy, from advocacy groups to consulting firms.
Endeva e.V.
Junior Analyst | December 2022 - December 2023
With a focus on Namibia, Kenya, and South Africa, my work is to deeply understand and analyze the green hydrogen ecosystem in Africa as well as imagine its future through the lenses of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
By interviewing stakeholders and experts across the sector as well as hosting co-creation workshops in Namibia, Kenya, and South Africa, we are synthesizing knowledge and forming policy recommendations targeted to the growth of African digital entrepreneurs and local MSMEs in green hydrogen sectors across Africa.
IMPACT Civil Society Research and Development
Project Partner | February 2022 - May 2022
Leading a team of five, I conducted policy-oriented research on Syrian diaspora communities as generators of political insight and policy agendas on Middle Eastern affairs. Our team's goals were identifying hubs of diasporic knowledge, developing mechanisms for community outreach and providing an ecosystem analysis of the utilization of local knowledge on the German and European policy level.

This research culminated in a final report, which I presented to Dr. Gil Murciano, CEO of the Mitvim Institute for Regional Foreign Policies, and Hozan Ibrahim, Executive Director at IMPACT.
CoronaNet Research Project
Research Analyst | February 2022 - May 2022
Under the direction of Program Director Dr. Svanhildur Thorvaldsdottir, I collected, coded, cleaned and analyzed COVID-19 policy data for Greece, translating government documents and other primary and secondary sources into a measurable dataset. I explored quantitative research designs and produced data visualizations in R.

My final research project looked at "The Effect of the Executive Party’s Anti-Immigrant Polarization on COVID-19 External Border Restrictions" using data from the database in R.
Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana
Policy Researcher | August 2020 - Present
At PAR, I analyze COVID-19 data from the Louisiana Department of Health, researching long-term trends and impact of the virus on the state of Louisiana and informing policymakers and stakeholders statewide. I publish twice-weekly reports on the status of COVID-19 data to PAR members, called the COVID Snapshot. Check out one of my reports and sign up to receive my reports!
I help unpack legislative action in a nonpartisan, easily digestible format for stakeholders and the general public, including facilitating a guide to Louisiana's constitutional amendments and the Louisiana legislature.
Louisiana Vote
Executive Staff | June 2020 - Present
With the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office, Louisiana Vote worked to modernize and streamline the process becoming a poll worker. This resulted in the transformation of a fax-only application to an accessible online form easy for applicants to utilize. Our team also pushed a joint campaign to recruit poll workers for the November 2020 election.
We organized a broad coalition with other organizations across the state including the Secretary of State's Office, New Orleans Pelicans and Saints, Geaux Vote and the Power Coalition for Equity and Justice to advocate for universal vote-by-mail, voter registration and poll worker recruitment in Louisiana via our grassroots digital campaigns.
Emergent Method
Communications Intern | May 2019 – June 2020
At Emergent Method, I conducted policy research, supported proposal development and facilitated strategic communication for clients and prospective clients. Our work centered on political consultation in the public and private sectors, working with nonprofits, NGOs, and government organizations' policies and communication strategies.

I created content for Emergent Method and client Restore Louisiana's Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to project a cohesive voice.
